Letter of invitation
Welcome to the International Archival Culture Exhibition 2010.
The Republic of Korea is proud of our long-standing recordkeeping tradition and documentary heritage, represented by the seven treasures of the UNESCO’s Memory of the World including Hunminjeongeum, the first instruction book on Korean letters, and Joseonwangjosillok, the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty.
The National Archives of Korea has been holding Archives Exhibition since 2007 in order to raise up pride in our magnificent documentary heritage.
The International Archival Culture Exhibition 2010 will promote archival culture inside and outside of Korea by providing a venue to appreciate documentary heritage of Korea and other countries, and by sharing state-of-the-art information and technology of records and archives management.
The IACE 2010 will include the International Exhibition of Archival Culture and Heritage to exhibit Memory of the World and representative national and international heritage, the International Exhibition of Archival Industry to display eco-friendly technology, equipment and related cutting-edge IT solutions for records management, and the International Forum to promote documentary heritage and share latest information. All of these events will come together to open a new chapter in the documentary heritage under the title of the archival culture.
Where history comes alive, information gathers, and you can see into the future, is the IACE 2010, a festival of archival culture around the world.
We look forward to seeing you at the IACE 2010.
